Two Texas banks are accused of taking advantage of low-income customers after they charged clients $330 million in overdraft and other fees in 2022. First National Bank Texas, headquartered in Killeen, reported $128 million in service charges and fees during 2022, including $91 million in overdraft fees. Woodforest National Bank, based in The Woodlands, said service charges and fees last year totaled $207 million, including $134 million from overdrafts.
